AUGUST
We started the month by getting Brody in the jumper
and as you can tell he loves it and is a pro
A bunch of moms from the ward got together for a Park Date.
It was really great to meet up with so many woman
and spend the afternoon together.
Brody and his friend Weston
Wes is 4 months older but... they are the same size
We find these fun rocks everywhere from
the Canandaigua rock club
The beautiful wild flowers are out in full bloom
Madie found all her favorites at the store
When Scott is driving Madie always asks to hold my hand.
It's very sweet!
A nice windy walk by the lake
Look at that static hair
Both kids got very good tans this summer
and the rolls help prove it
hands while we read books
Stake picnic horse carriage rides
enjoy puddle splashing when they are over

August 16th
Scott made me breakfast and only worked a few hours.
We went to Ontario beach.
It was such a beautiful 75 degree day.
We weren't able to get in the water due to
high bacteria levels :/
but we played in the sand, walked the boardwalk,
played at the park and enjoyed dinner on the patio of Harbor Hots.
PICKLESShe's looking more and more toddlerish everyday
She makes us smile always
Seth and Chrissy have arrived!!!

Lollipop Farm

Madie's bestie Londyn is sharing pretzels during church
such a great laundry helper
He's a roly poly
I had to take the Dodge to get registered
(knowing it wouldn't pass with the cracked windshield)
but needed to know how much the repairs would cost to see if it's worth keeping.
In the meantime Madie and I enjoyed some ice cream as we awaited the BAD news.
You've been good to me for 12 years
We found a new path
Oma and Papa moving day
First Sunday dinner together
(still missing a few)
August 28th
We took a day trip to Albany for a bank meeting for the bakerythere's a lot of work to be done, but it's exciting
Stopped in Syracuse on the way home for the NY state fair
Play date with the Robinson's
Scott likes Blackberry cobbler for his birthday butblackberries aren't in season end of September
BRODY
This little cutie is rolling all over. He's learning he can get to mama
if she's across the room.
He's cooing and laughing. He loves watching Madie play
He is not sleeping well.
Up every hour and will only go back to sleep by nursing.
The lack of sleep takes it's toll during the day too.
He only wants to be held and mom is sleep deprived and impatient.
He is always happy when he's outside!
5 months
He looks like he brakes his neck when he sleeps on his back
and smashes his face on his tummy
Even the sleepless nights can't change how much we love this boy.
He is such a sweetie.
This smile lights up our lives
MADIE
She is talking and learning so much.
obsessed with t.v., phones, iPad
jumps off everything
sings a lot of song- favorite is 'Let it go'
When we help her say prayers we say Heavenly Father and she responds with Daddy
He held a potato bug and lady bug
When you tell her to say 'thank you' she says 'Welcome'
and when you do something for her and give her something she says 'welcome'
Always wants treats
when she wakes up from nap she yells 'Mama I done'
She loves Doc McStuffins and uses the nose sucker to do check ups

She keeps us on our toes and brings so much joy to our lives
but she is so cute with him; tickling him, pushing him in the swing
and reading to him
She is sleeping through the night and gets to snuggle
daddy when she wakes us at 6:00
Amy gave me this book to read.

Sometimes I feel like my whole life is cleaning the house and going to the park
and I try to remind myself to enjoy this time in my life because it will go by way too fast.
Enjoy that my life revolves around playing. Teaching and playing with my kids is way more important than a perfectly clean house all the time, hours of cooking and keeping up appearances.
when the house looks like this
It's ok because when the caos settles and it's all cleaned up
moments like this are what it's all about.
There is no greater calling, there is no more important role
