SEPTEMBER

I've started running in the mornings and 

the kids always enjoy getting outside
(they especially like when Aunt Chrissy comes too)

 We've really been working on Brody sleeping better.

We tried every method we could think of and ended 

up having to do a little bit of 'cry it out'

He is doing much better. He can get himself to sleep and 

self soothe when he wakes up in the night.

Hallelujah!

Balloon Festival in Dansville

We had so much fun and Madie talked about the balloons for days

 

September 2nd

I doesn't get much cooler than this girl

Madie loves doing her 'check ups' so 

we decided we needed to get her a Dr. set.

We all get many check ups everyday.

 If you've ever eatin' Tamarind you know how weird

 it would be for a 2 year old to love it

 The glow worm was the canvas today, oops

 Probably our last water table day, it's getting chilly

Our baby is growing up

She's putting on mommy's deoderant and

 finally had enough hair for a braid

 

 speaking of hair

You can't see it but Brody has 3 long hairs

2-3 inches longer than the rest

 Cleaning out the Dodge to 'hopefully'

say goodbye soon

 Madie loves her new 'check up set'

everyone gets checked several times a day

 Our new Monkey Business bags came out too Yellow and were very

hard to read so the manufacture re-did them...

and then they came out too orange. We have to use them though.

Why do our babies love to sleep on their face?

 Learning to play. He's very good at knocking them over

 Sitting in the tub for the first time without the baby chair

Madie 'always' wants to walk but

 sometimes she gets tired.

Sunday dinners

 Market apple as big as your head. Yum!

 This is the first book that Madie has memorized.

She sings this version of the song all the time.

 This girl LOVES the phone and she is very good at using it.

She can scroll through photos and even find the Mickey Mouse

Shorts on the utube app. It's unreal.

She's also very sneaky because she knows she's not

supposed to play with mommy's phone. She will grab it and put it 

behind her back then sing or tell me a story to distract from having the phone.

But she always has her 'guilty' smile on. 

 Brody always has his feet crossed, it's so cute!

 This grasshopper clung to my pants and I couldn't get it off

so I had to get my key and flick it off.

Madie told the story to everyone for weeks.

 We had a play date at the park with Londyn

 Our favorite time of year is here

 We went with Seth and Chrissy to Watkin's Glen.

We never get sick of this beautiful place.

September 18th

  

  

 One of my callings is in Nursery

and all our girls were hiding together under the table.

They are too cute!

 It's hard for me to miss big events in my friends lives.

Getting used to heels 

 It had been awhile since we'd been to the Sacred Grove.

We took a nice Sunday walk and found some creatures.

We had one box of pops left from July 4th

She thought they were so amazing.

 This 6 month old is starting to eat food

September 22nd

We went grape picking at sunset.

It was the perfect evening. We enjoyed it so much.

 My mommy heart melts when I see the love 

between Daddy and Son

We had so much fun grape picking

and it's such an AMAZING deal.

We went back the next day.

September 26th

 We went to dr. appointments for both kids

Brody- 26 inches, 16 lbs 4 oz, 42.9 cm head

50 percentile

Madie- 26 inches, 30 lbs, 46.8 cm head

Since Madie has been doing her 'check ups' she did so 

amazing at her appointment... it wasn't so scary

she had to do blood work to check lead levels.

They had to poke both arms b/c the left wouldn't bleed,

She was such a champ. Only a few tears right at the end. 

 Every Wednesday the boys trade off doing

This little cutie is starting to scoot, reach and sits up like a real pro.

 Madie got mommy's thin hair but luckily it gets a 

little curl in the back and it's getting so long

 Some days you just need to play and color in a box

Date Night ice cream run

We were packing our car to head out of town Sept 30th when 

Across the street was smoke coming from the window and 

the sound of breaking glass. Scott rushed over to see if help was needed,

but it was the fire department already inside. 

All emergency personal showed up.

We left for albany and looked up what happened later.

It turned out to be a homicide and arson supposedly drug related.

It's a scary world and this one hit a little too close to him. 

 

Brody is 6 months old

This little stinker is such a momma's boy

He doesn't even like to play on the ground unless mommy is right there with him.

He is also so wiggly. He wants to be turned in, then out, then sit, 

jump, stand, in, out and upside down. 

He does not hold still and we never get cuddles anymore.

Daddy's Little Boy

He has started getting his knees tucked underneath him and 

scooting around a little bit (when he lets me put him down without crying.)

He still loves to be outside and he loves to watch Madie and see what she's up to.

 He's the cutest little guy and his smile melts our hearts. 

 

Madie turns 2 in a couple of days.

She is so full of life and learning and growing at a rapid rate.

She does so many funny things.

She is so smart.

I wish I could documemt every moment but here are some highlights/

She gets on her knees and reminds me to say prayers before naps.

She is really good at repeating what you say and can do some of it all by herself.

Sings all the time and has started to tell mom to not sing.

She points her finger in the air and says 'No, I do it'

Daddy is still allowed to sing with her. 

 Plays with Daddy's beard when they cuddle

 Reminds us to stop and smell the flowers

 She is so brave!

I picked up a caterpiller and asked if she wanted to hold it or touch it.

She looked at it and said 'no, put it down.'

About 10 minutes later we found another one, this time

she was ready. She touched it and then held it.

(and kept dropping it, the poor thing)

She teases him as much as he teases her

 She is doing better in nursery.

she cries when I leave but is able to calm down and stay in there.

She is so silly and fun.

She makes us smile and laugh constantly

She's become quite a great (but cautious) climber

In the NEWS

 It's sad to see such an amazing place up in flames.

A lot of childhood memories here for Scott 

and it was the first stop we made the first time he took me to meet the family.
